Polio Children started in 2002 and today operates as Polio and Children in Need Charity.

Its mission is to provide nutritional, educational, healthcare, and vocational training support to children with polio or other neuromuscular disorders and for those children who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with the singular goal of making them independent and productive citizens. It also aims to advance education of the public in polio and other neuro-muscular diseases.
