The Polio Children Team was instrumental in procuring some wheelchairs from Dr Don Schoendorfer's organisation: Mission Free Wheelchairs for SKSN so that some of the children would not have to drag themselves along the ground.

In April 2003 Mayoor Patel (Trustee), Mrs Subhdra M Patel (Projects Coordinator) and Rahul Amin (Field Consultant) of Polio Children visited SKSN, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.   Mayoor Patel reviewing various projects and costings with Dr Bhati (Secretary of SKSN).

Jainee-Khushali and Major Patel inaugurate the new generator providing electricity for the whole campus of SKSN.

After using the wheelchairs under various conditions, six suggestions for improvements were emailed to Dr Don Schoendorfer.

Result: return email from Dr Don Schoendorfer thanking us for the suggestions and confirming three of them were work in progress for the next generation of wheelchairs. Other three improvements to be implemented locally in India.
