The nutrition programme sponsored by Polio Children produced very encouraging and positive results
Polio Children with considerable help from British Airways and The Body Temple is supporting SKSN in it's pursuit of a long term solution to the nutritional deficits in the children's diet by supporting the establishment of an in-house dairy.
An in-house dairy will provide :
a) A regular supply of milk and an excellent source of calcium, critical for healthy bone development.
b) A regular supply of ghee (clarified butter).
c) A constant supply of fresh yogurt in the hot summer months.
d) Gober gas (fuel produced from cow dung) that will power the kitchens on the campus.
e) Fertilizer (a by-product of gober gas production) for growing cow fodder and fresh vegetables.
f) Vocational training for the students in vegetable farming and husbandry.
