Since its inception in 2002, Polio Children has raised more than £800,000 ($1.2m) and initiated over 15 projects for the benefit of more than 1,000 children.
This section lists our past accomplishments or completed projects which are grouped broadly into the following categories:
Nutrition – fortifying the children’s diet resulted in a 60% reduction of minor ailments
Healthcare – supplying wheelchairs and prosthetics ensured greater mobility and reduced abuse of unaffected limbs
Education – building and equipping a hostel offered a safe environment for girls to pursue education
Vocational Training – providing facilities to train in vocations that guarantee a means of earning a regular income and becoming self-sufficient
